The Kitchen Supper Club
Red Earth Kitchen is pleased to announce the first meeting of The Kitchen Supper Club. We aim to hold at least one event a month so watch out for further information. Each event will support a charity, so while you enjoy yourselves they will benefit too.
The first event is to be held on Saturday 1st October at Thurlestone Village Hall at 7.30 pm.
It will be a celebration of the Autumn Harvest and takes place during British Food Fortnight. The charity we will be supporting for our first supper will be RNLI.
The price for the first event will be £30.00 which includes a donation of £3.00 to the RNLI.
The dinner will be a three course set meal with complementary water and cordials. The Menu will feature lots of delicious local Autumnal ingredients - and is as follows
Roast Sweetcorn and Start Bay Crab Chowder with Home made Breadsticks
Confit of Belly Pork with Apple and Sloe Gin Sauce
Bubble and Squeak Cakes
Vichy Carrots and Beets
Seasonal Greens
Hazelnut Meringues with Spiced Poached Plums and Damson Ice cream
Or
Local Cheese Platter with Seasonal Fruit and Home made Poppyseed Biscuits
We are very happy to offer the following alternatives for vegetarians
Roast Sweetcorn Chowder with Homemade Breadsticks
Neapolitian Stuffed Aubergines with Fresh Tomato Sauce
As we are not licensed to sell alcohol, you are very welcome to bring your own wine or beer. We would be grateful if you would pay a small corkage charge of £2.00 per bottle which will go directly to our chosen charity in order to boost the fund raising.
